In Honor of Carole Crimi

Carole Crimi of Highland NY passed away peacefully at the age of 85 at Sharon Hospital on the 2nd of August 2020. Born July 1st , 1935 in Poughkeepsie NY, Carole was the daughter of the late Earl H. and Agnes E. VanVoorhis (Collins). She was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School’s class of 1953, was employed for 8 years at IBM, and retired from the Dutchess County Probation office in 2002, after working for a number of the county’s offices. On November 20, 1955, she married Joseph S. Crimi, who predeceased her on December 17, 1986.

Carole loved nothing more in this world than her family. Some of her favorite activities were spending time with her grandchildren and vacationing in Lake George. She is survived by her daughter Joanne, son Joseph and his wife Ellen, son Michael and his wife Renata, daughter Carole and her husband George; Grandchildren Bobby Crimi, Alessandra Crimi, Attilio CrimiVaroli, Adriana Crimi, Joey Crimi, Giuseppe CrimiVaroli, Luciano Crimi, Sofia CrimiVaroli, and Olivia CrimiVaroli. Additionally, she is survived by her sister Arlene Koch and was predeceased by her sister Rita Miller.

In 2018 Carole's granddaughter Alessandra was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma, a rare pediatric cancer. Alessandra won her battle, but unfortunately, many children have not been quite as fortunate. Wings for Ewing Sarcoma fights to find a cure for this horrible disease.
